Splashing Around

June 3rd was the day...

...my first day swimming. We went over to Nana and Papa's house in the evening and I got to play around in the big bathtub. It was a lot of fun! I got to splash around and kick my legs. I even drank some of the water, but Mommy says I shouldn't do that. It tasted funny anyway. Mommy and Daddy said they will be taking me to the pool a lot this summer and I can't wait. I want to learn to blow bubbles like Daddy...maybe by the end of the summer.

Home Portraits

Mommy and Daddy decided that they could do my new portraits at home, with their fancy lights and homemade backdrops. That is all well and good, but as the star of these portraits, I have to feel free and be able to work my magic. I think I did extremely well, and the photographer did a pretty good job himself. :)
If you would like a copy of my portrait (top center) please let my agent know. BTW- these were taken mid May.

My First Camping Trip

Since I am only 7 months old you are probably going to be reading a lot about my firsts. My last post was about my first vacation, that was staying in motels and doing touristy things; this post is about my first camping trip. Mommy and Daddy took me up to Canyon Point Campground over Memorial Day weekend with our church. The drive time was much shorter, but driving up there I was having issues with my ears not popping so it was very uncomfortable. Once there I had a great time. It was a little bit of an adjustment at first sleeping in a tent, but it all turned out ok. Since this was a church outing there were a lot of other people camping with us, so a lot of them would play with me and hold me. Some people brought their doggies so I kept a close eye on those creatures. I really like doggies! I spent most of my time at camp, but one morning Mommy, Daddy and I went for a hike. Well, they hiked, I* rode on Daddy's back. It was very nice, not to long, but toward the end I started to get really tired and hungry. It was nice to get out of the heat of Phoenix, a little cool at night, but Mommy kept me all bundled up in the pack-n-play so I slept great. I really like camping and being outdoors. I hope we go camping again soon especially when I am more mobile and can explore on my own. :)
I also got to see fire for the first time...very interesting, but Daddy told me that it was hot and not to go near it.
