My First Haircut

It had to be done. My hair was growing so long it was getting in my eyes and covering my ears. If I remember correctly Mommy and Daddy had strangers as how old SHE was. She!! Do I look like a she, do Mommy and Daddy dress me like a girl? I don't think so, but that tells you right there that I needed a haricut.

Take a look at this before and after picture...was a dramatic improvement. What a handsome little boy.

Hey Slick

Not sure if I am going to keep this hair style or not. I look good, but is it really me? I guess I will have to see, but in the meantime this water bottle is great.

Quick Visit

Grandpa stopped by after elk scouting with Daddy and we got to celebrate his birthday!

Trip To Manresa (July '07)

I am a little behind in telling my stories, so it might be a little tough to remember all of the little details of our family trip to Manresa. Manresa is the Brophy School retreat houses in Oak Creek, Arizona. The whole family spent 4 days there, giving us plenty of time to run around outside, hike mountains, play games, and throw rocks in the creek. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though I was restricted by the areas I could explore. Since I hadn't quite mastered the skill of walking yet, Mommy and Daddy didn't want me crawling around in the dirt. I cannot wait until next year when I am older and will be able to run around on my own.
Clicking Here for more pictures.I like being treated like a king. Gotta love those bananas!

Walking Soon

Well, crawling was fun, but it sure takes a lot more work and is hard on the knees. So with a little practice I will be up and running really soon.

Splashing Around

June 3rd was the day...

...my first day swimming. We went over to Nana and Papa's house in the evening and I got to play around in the big bathtub. It was a lot of fun! I got to splash around and kick my legs. I even drank some of the water, but Mommy says I shouldn't do that. It tasted funny anyway. Mommy and Daddy said they will be taking me to the pool a lot this summer and I can't wait. I want to learn to blow bubbles like Daddy...maybe by the end of the summer.

Home Portraits

Mommy and Daddy decided that they could do my new portraits at home, with their fancy lights and homemade backdrops. That is all well and good, but as the star of these portraits, I have to feel free and be able to work my magic. I think I did extremely well, and the photographer did a pretty good job himself. :)
If you would like a copy of my portrait (top center) please let my agent know. BTW- these were taken mid May.

My First Camping Trip

Since I am only 7 months old you are probably going to be reading a lot about my firsts. My last post was about my first vacation, that was staying in motels and doing touristy things; this post is about my first camping trip. Mommy and Daddy took me up to Canyon Point Campground over Memorial Day weekend with our church. The drive time was much shorter, but driving up there I was having issues with my ears not popping so it was very uncomfortable. Once there I had a great time. It was a little bit of an adjustment at first sleeping in a tent, but it all turned out ok. Since this was a church outing there were a lot of other people camping with us, so a lot of them would play with me and hold me. Some people brought their doggies so I kept a close eye on those creatures. I really like doggies! I spent most of my time at camp, but one morning Mommy, Daddy and I went for a hike. Well, they hiked, I* rode on Daddy's back. It was very nice, not to long, but toward the end I started to get really tired and hungry. It was nice to get out of the heat of Phoenix, a little cool at night, but Mommy kept me all bundled up in the pack-n-play so I slept great. I really like camping and being outdoors. I hope we go camping again soon especially when I am more mobile and can explore on my own. :)
I also got to see fire for the first time...very interesting, but Daddy told me that it was hot and not to go near it.

My First Vacation

On my first vacation, Mommy and Daddy took me to California! We visited San Francisco and Napa Valley. It was fun spending all that time with Mommy and Daddy. I got to see a lot of new things! It was a little tough traveling because it was hard for me to fit in my regualar naps and when I don't get my regular naps I can get a little cranky. Initially there was a lot of driving and I am not to fond of sitting in my car seat for any more than 2 hours, so 12 and a half is way out of my comfort zone. Our first stop was at the Golden Gate Park because Mommy and Daddy know that I like going on walks outdoors. They let me touch all the leaves, trees, and flowers, but they wouldn't let me tear them off and keep them. We saw turtles and ducks, and even a waterfall. Then I got to meet one of Mommy's cousins, she is very nice. She even gave me a big green fuzzy monkey
that I could play with. The rest of our visit in San Fransisco was just as nice, although it was a little windy but I enjoy the wind when it blows through my hair. It makes me laugh. But enough about San Fransisco, lets talk about the trip to wine country! :) I sure wish I was a little older, but Mommy and Daddy say, "All in good time". I enjoyed seeing all the wineries anyway because they are so beautiful. They are covered with so many roses and other flowers and that makes for a very colorful experience. Of course, everyone is so nice to me, they make me giggle and smile. :) The whole time in Napa we traveled around outside and I got to see all of God's creation. I just wish I could put it all in my mouth. Surprised? Well, at this age (6 months) what do you expect me to do? After 2 days of fun in Napa Valley it was time to head home, and not a moment to soon. I was getting tired of sleeping in the pack-n-play and the carseat...I missed my own crib.

By the way...I will be driving home so get in the car :)

Better Late Then Never (cont.)

Here are the more recent photos...I think Mommy and Daddy took them last week. As you can see I am getting much stronger, I can hold my head up and almost sit up with out any assistance. The hardest part is to hold my head still, once it starts to move to one side or the other the rest of my body is going to follow. :)
This is my favorite toy.
Once I start crawling there is not place it will be safe.

Smile for the camera...pay no attention to the drool spot on my outfit.
Boy! Daddy caught me with my pants down.
This is a photo of Mommy and me singing one of my favorite songs, "The Wheels on the Bus". I like this song because of the fun hand motions, I think we are doing.. "the wipers on the bus go swish swish swish..."
Daddy got the camera again.
BTW, that camera is a funny looking little object,
I wonder if Daddy will let me put it in my mouth.

Better Late Then Never

Well, it has been a couple of weeks since I have updated everyone on my exceptional growth and development, so I have attached a few photos to do just that. Keep in mind that some of these are a month or so old, but I just received them from Uncle Lloyd and I wanted to share them. The rest of the photos are pretty recent. There are a couple more recent photos on my family's blog that Daddy tries to keep updated as well.

This is my Christmas hat, "Baby's 1st Christmas", looks like I only get to wear this hat once.
I almost got it, if only I had the use of my hands.
Mommy is kissing my again? Aaawwwhhh, I like it when Mommy kisses me, as long as she doesn't leave lipstick all over my face.
This is a photo where I am showing Daddy my strategy for Phase 10. I also have to point out the different colored cards for him as well. Jeez, do I have to do everything?

Photo Shoot v1

I'm to Sexxy
Well, here are a couple of pictures of my first professional photo shoot. Now you have to remember that this is my first time and to really get good photos you have to let the camera warm up to you. Once the photographer figures out my good side and knows what light I look best under the photos will be cover quality.

Boy, do I have some crazy dance moves.Gett'in down.

This is not my best side...I protest.
This one is for the ladies. Yeah!
And we have a winner.
I will be accepting nominations for the "Cuties Baby Photo". Ages (0-3months)

My First Pictures

Here I am...Alexander Paul Podborny, born October 24, 2006
The first few days of live are really tough, so I am really trying to catch up on my beauty rest. I like to take a lot of naps, which is something I get from my Mommy, but like Daddy I like to sleep all stretched out.
I love my Mommy!
I love my Daddy!
Sorry...I have to take another nap, I have to leave the hospital now. I figure that if I have to go out into the real world I better be well rested.
I will catch up with you later...
