My First Vacation

On my first vacation, Mommy and Daddy took me to California! We visited San Francisco and Napa Valley. It was fun spending all that time with Mommy and Daddy. I got to see a lot of new things! It was a little tough traveling because it was hard for me to fit in my regualar naps and when I don't get my regular naps I can get a little cranky. Initially there was a lot of driving and I am not to fond of sitting in my car seat for any more than 2 hours, so 12 and a half is way out of my comfort zone. Our first stop was at the Golden Gate Park because Mommy and Daddy know that I like going on walks outdoors. They let me touch all the leaves, trees, and flowers, but they wouldn't let me tear them off and keep them. We saw turtles and ducks, and even a waterfall. Then I got to meet one of Mommy's cousins, she is very nice. She even gave me a big green fuzzy monkey
that I could play with. The rest of our visit in San Fransisco was just as nice, although it was a little windy but I enjoy the wind when it blows through my hair. It makes me laugh. But enough about San Fransisco, lets talk about the trip to wine country! :) I sure wish I was a little older, but Mommy and Daddy say, "All in good time". I enjoyed seeing all the wineries anyway because they are so beautiful. They are covered with so many roses and other flowers and that makes for a very colorful experience. Of course, everyone is so nice to me, they make me giggle and smile. :) The whole time in Napa we traveled around outside and I got to see all of God's creation. I just wish I could put it all in my mouth. Surprised? Well, at this age (6 months) what do you expect me to do? After 2 days of fun in Napa Valley it was time to head home, and not a moment to soon. I was getting tired of sleeping in the pack-n-play and the carseat...I missed my own crib.

By the way...I will be driving home so get in the car :)
